Would you believe....

...I might be an idiot? .....that the cheap-o grocery store brand of OPK is just that - cheapo? ...that just for shits and giggles I did another OPK test? ....that it was, without a doubt, a positive LH surge today??

And so I texted Super Doc to be sure and swing into the hospital and snag some more utensils for DIY IUI 2.1. His response....WTF? He witnessed the fading, almost extinct lines in successive days himself. And so, the moral of the story friends....don't buy the cheapy brands.

  3. WOOT!

I think sometimes we rollercoaster too-- it may not be the opk's fault, and me, sometimes the surge is so short I could miss it. Have fun with your DIYIUI too fun!

  4. I once bought a package of OPKs that were the test strip kind. You dip the flimsy strip into urine and wait for lines to appear. I bought them b/c they were cheap and there were about 20 of them in the package. Well, guess what? According to those little strips, I was ovulating EVERY SINGLE DAY!!! Day after day after day the strips were positive. It's as bad as getting negative results every day. Worthless information. I called the 800 number on the box and they refuned the cost. I wanted to say "Yeah, and what about the wasted month?!" So.....okay....DIY #2 is on!

  5. Damnit-as if figuring out when a girl is ovulating weren't tricky enough! Good for you for double checking and Woo Hoo for you and Super Doc having another go. The image of the headlight always cracks me up.
